Antonei B. Csoka received his B.Sc. in Genetics from the University of Newcastle, U.K., his M.S. in Molecular Pathology and Toxicology from the University of Leicester, U.K. in, and his Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Debrecen, Hungary. He performed postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Francisco, where he cloned the human hyaluronidase genes, which are involved in fertilization, embryonic development, and cancer.
As a postdoctoral research associate at Brown University, Dr. Csoka was instrumental in the identification of the gene that causes Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (progeria), a disease with many features of “accelerated aging.” Progeria has since revealed important insights and clues into the mechanisms of normal aging. Now he is developing animal models of progeria, studying the role of nuclear lamina dysfunction, and exploring the nexus of stem cells, aging, and epigenetics for the treatment of age-related diseases.
Dr. Csoka has long advocated research into aging and human lifespan extension, and serves on the scientific advisory boards of the Alcor Foundation and the Lifeboat Foundation.

Maitreya One, a.k.a. “Tesla” was born In Harlem and raised in the Bronx. His inspiration comes from what he calls the “Streetlight Age” of HipHop, a time before HipHop was coopted by large corporations and the music industry. In the Streetlight Age, HipHop’s vision was bigger than an industrial status symbol.
In Tesla’s younger years he worked at a bookstore called East West books, where he learned about the story of Tesla. He was inspired by his story, coming up from humble beginnings himself, and by the way Tesla was ahead of his time. He was also interested in the relationship between science and big business and how big business can get in the way of good science. Tesla adopted the name as a message to scientist to remembers the life of Tesla and act accordingly.
Tesla would like to aid in a project called “Timeship,” which would be a biological “Fort Knox” that houses all the major life extension research concurrently. Tesla would also like to start a company that makes wine enhanced with extra resveratrol. He would also like to invest in his own brand of supplements, marketed towards the HipHop community in partnership with life extension science groups, the Super Longevity Worldwide Tour, and a documentary entitled “Freeze Me,” documenting his own cryonics set up.
