The Ice Cream Bandit, The Pokemon Guy . . .
why
And Other Things That Make You Ask Why
Overheard outside an upscale health food store: An employee said she had to ask a woman to leave because she tried to swipe some Madame Hauschka cosmetics. Later she saw the same woman outside the window of the store, eating an ice cream and staring at her. Was she daring her to call the police with every lick? Go ahead, lick, I dare you? The police drove by the health food store to keep an eye out. You want to celebrate your unsuccessful shoplifting adventure with a $6.00 gelato.
This all happened feet from me. I missed it because it was one of the rare occasions when I was minding my own business. What lesson did I learn from that?
In possibly related news, a guy wearing a Pokemon hat jumped the White House fence before being subdued by law enforcement.
I'm in a business using a computer. When I first came in, there was a man wandering around inside the business talking to himself. It hadn't occured to the worker that he should do anything about it. I saw the guy from the "Mystery of the Matzohs" post.

I see him a lot, always along the same corridor. He was here with a young woman with crayon-red hair and a laptop. This business is annoying because every machine seems to have an alarm going off. Random computers don't work but they don't do much about it in spite of the fact that they charge $18.00 an hour to rent a computer. On top of that, my digestion has been sluggish for no reason. I had to move computers three times to get one that worked. I guess my gut had had it. I got up and I farted. Nice and loud. Everyone knew it was me, including Matzoh and his crayon-headed girlfiend.
What is fucking wrong with this business? Fuck the CEO. He probably sucks all the money out of it for his own pay. Every unused computer makes noises. They didn't do this before. This sucks. Just now, another alarm went off. This was the watch alarm of the only other customer. WTF? Just now a police car with a siren came and stopped nearby.
Which reminds me, last night I went for a drive and spotted between ten and twenty cop cars total, which is way over the average for that highway. It creeped me out. Along the highway in different places, a lot of people had been pulled over. It was early for that and there were more than usual. The reason wasn't clear.
