If somebody doesnt write these guys first, then I might. If we tell them about indefinite life extension and cryonics then they may just add it into their symbolic decree they have going on there. Even if they do just continue it tongue in cheek, it can spread information that, when the tongue comes out of the cheek, they can come to realize is actually something.

Deaths barred in Italian village Posted Image
ROME (AP) -- Since the start of the month it has been illegal to die in Falciano del Massico, a village of 3,700 people some 50 kilometers (30 miles) from Naples in southern Italy.
Mayor Giulio Cesare Fava issued the tongue-in-cheek decree because the village has no cemetery and it is feuding with a nearby town that has one - creating a logistical problem about what to do with the deceased.
The mayor told newspapers that villagers are content.
"The ordinance has brought happiness," he was quoted Tuesday as saying. "Unfortunately, two elderly citizens disobeyed."

That is one brilliant story! Perhaps you could try to encourage them to become the first life extension supporting village in the world? They hate involuntary death and that's what we're all about. It could give their village a lot more publicity and perhaps bring in tourism for them. Perhaps this could go one step further and this organisation could sponsor an exhibition or something out there? You could join forces and have some sort of fund raising arrangements.

As director, I think that you should perhaps handle this one cos you got status. You could perhaps approach the mayor and/or any townhalls that they may have in that village. I'm having amusing visions of t-shirt stands and other wonderful and slightly tacky souveniers.

I'm probably making very long shots again but they are thoughts. :)
