Hi all,

I've been reading/posting for about 6 months now. I started this regimen about 5 months ago, put together by lurking here and stealing ideas from many of you. Thanks for that :)

Please tell me what you think about my regimen. My general purposes are better health, mood, stamina, creativity, libido and cognition. In that order. I'm 43, mostly healthy, maybe a tad anhedonic, but nothing serious.

Diet: I'm a pesketarian, trying to lower carbs (almost no rice/pasta for a while, 50% as much bread as I was taking, but still a ways to go)
I also lowered sugars quite a bit.
Would like to incorporate some supergreen food and more herb/plant based stuff

Exercise: light weights 3x/week, moderate cardio 2x/week (I know, the winter brought me down, I was exercising every day in the summer, but I moved to the Southern Hemisphere and I lost a lot of stamina)
Non smoker, moderate alcohol drinker (red wine, 2-3 glasses most days, scotch 1-2 some days)

I could use a little more mood improvement. Toying with the idea of starting with Selegiline 1-2mg/day, but for some reason I resist (concerned about big changes in my brain chemistry that I might regret later)
I could use a little more libido (specially this last month, not sure what happened there, maybe the winter),
I could use a little cognition/verbal fluency boost (yet to implement a noot stack)
I would love some creativity boost. THC worked wonders for me (15+ years ago) until I started getting paranoid and now cannot touch that.

Morning (forgive me the lack of dosage in some, I tossed some bottles)
Maca, 500mg
Resveratrol plus, 100mg, Country Life. (contains grape seed extract)
Fish oil, 3g
Red Yeast rice (I have slightly bad LDL, ok HDL, ok TGC)
ALA/ALCAR
Vitamin K2, 1 capsule. Jarrow
Alpha GPC for choline, 1 capsule, Jarrow
C-complex, Jarrow, 1000g
Vitamin D3, 2000 IU
Zinc, 12mg, Jarrow.
Multi, Whole foods brand (planning to switch to Orthocore) 1 capsule.

Noon
ALCAR, Jarrow
Taurine, 500mg
Theanine 500mg
Mushroom complex
Creatine, 2-3g, Jarrow, crea-pure.
Cordyceps, Jarrow
Lion's mane (half a teaspoon) Cerebralhealth
Vit B12, sublingual. 1 dropper.
Pomegranate/Blackberry/Grape concentrate, Jarrow, 1 tablespoon
Grape seed extract, 1 capsule

Night
Magnesium Malate, GNC
B-complex - Jarrow.
Vit C,
Ashwaganda
Bacopa.
Virgin salmon oil, Swanson, 2g
(I'd love a relaxing addition that would allow me to replace my nightly scotch)

Thanks for your thoughts

I'm new in regimens and supplements but.. is it really necessary to take so many things? I mean, you're healthy, aren't you? :P

I wouldn't even know what is working and what is not

How much do you spend a month?

Well, yours is a perfectly valid question, but the answer is not all that simple.

I believe that supplements, especially herbs and extracts, (but every kind, if in the right type, dose, mix and timing), can be good for increasing good health, lifestyle and also preventing disease. What I want is to *stay* healthy, fit, happy and smart. Also I'd like to slow down aging a bit, if possible.

So, no, it's not necessary, but it's desirable :)

I do spend some money, not sure exactly how much, but if you buy online, and mostly in bulk powders, you can spend considerably less than buying in a store.

I'm 66 in December. I take about 50 pills a day. Fish oil, resveratrol. lycopene. C, E,...........
I didn't see any calcium in your list.

To me calcium is a must. I've fallen/tripped twice in the past 5 years onto cement and used my hands/wrists to break my fall. And no harm done.

I have two caveats with calcium. One is bioavailability (not knowing what kind to take), the other one is calcifications in the heart valves.

I do take ground sesame in my morning smoothie, that must account for some calcium...
