I was wondering how the two compare. Who has tried both and is able to elaborate on this?
Currently I'm on day 2 of Cere, and I'll be trying NSI after this cycle, so I'll post here myself in due time.
Which is superior? And what about combining both? In what respects (nootropic, anxiolytic, anti-depressant, etc.)?

Having tried both and a combination of the two, I would say that I prefer cerebro over NSI-189 and cerbro+NSI-189. Cerebro really does everything for me in terms of anti-depressant and anxiolytic actions without any side effects whatsoever, not to mention that the effect lasts for weeks. With NSI-189 I get headaches and brain fog if the dose is too high and the benefits from lower doses does not seem to match the benefits that I receive with cerebro. I am still experimenting though, this has been a tough semester for me in college so I didn't have the time to really go in deep with the NSI-189. On the other hand I am a very experienced cerebro user, so I have a good idea of how that drug affects me and this familiarity could be why I like cerebro so much--it just works every time for me without side effects or tolerance.

Note: The combination of the two was just too much, I have no need for another anti-depressant/anxiolytic drug when on a cerebro cycle, especially one as potent as NSI-189.

Hey, thanks for replying.
Yes it seems to be the consensus that Cere>NSI, but I've seen 1 or 2 reports stating the opposite.
Really hope Cere works for me then.. Seems less likely that NSI will help someone if Cere doesn't.
I'll keep in mind not to combine the two.

Can anyone speak to the specific long and short term benefits of Cere and NSI for cognitive, memory, attention enhancement and/or mitigating (hippocampus) brain damage? Or are the benefits of these compounds isolated to anti-depressive effects?

Not me (yet). Anyway, from what I've found so far, is that Cere is primarily synaptogenic, whereas NSI-189 is primarily neurogenic (both w.r.t. the hippocampus).
For someone with a messy hippocampus, perhaps neurogenesis is more helpful than synaptogenesis. Thus perhaps for some people NSI-189 > Cerebrolysin..?

I posted about that in the Cerebrolysin thread. For now i have quit Cere and have been on NSI-189 for.. think it's been a little over 2 weeks. Took a few days off though, but I'm starting back up again today at 20mg TID. I tried 40mg BID, but it was too much for me. I was planning to do a 20ml/day cycle of Cere when I run out of NSI.

20 ml a day, o my god
In my opinion 5 ml works better then 10 ml, I dont know why.

where are you planning to shoot every day?

you know you can't inject more then 5 ml per muscle?

Bringing this thread up again as I think it's relevant. Wondering if anyone has any additional experience with these two compounds since last post, and has anything to say? I can say from personal experience that the immediately-noticeable effects of Cerebrolysin were far, far better than with NSI-189. Cerebrolysin was both very anxiolytic, as well as highly cognitively beneficial for me. NSI felt stimulating the first couple days with semi-noticeable cognitive benefits, however the initial benefits subsided after about day 5. Granted, neither of these compounds should be used for their initial effects so much as their cumulative effects seen after many days.

It's for that reason that I intend on starting my next trial very soon. What I'm intending on doing is a 15 day bout with Cerebrolysin, followed by a 2 day washout period, then a 30 day period of low-dose NSI. Most people talking about the benefits of NSI note that they REALLY only come about after 30ish days in. It's for that reason I'm going to give it a a longer period of time, at a lower dose so as to reduce side-effects. We'll see what comes of it. Haven't yet ordered more cerebrolysin as I'm saving up funds, but I should be ordering more in the next two weeks.

Hi Rior, looking forward to your experiences. I will try to recreate your methods in a few months when NSI-189 is readily obtainable.

Meanwhile, I wonder what it is specific to Cerebrolysin that makes it seemingly superior. As we know, it is a mixture of certain peptides. I wonder whether there is a single peptide responsble for these actions, whereas the rest perhaps are relatively inactive. Narrowing this down would be interesting. If, for instance, it is BDNF, then we can focus on TrkB agonists.

Anyhow, I should have 7,8-DHF one of these days, along with other members of the board, so that would surely be interesting to hear of (comparative) feedback, and perhaps it could serve as a viable (possibly superior) substitute for Cerebrolysin.

edit: I ended up not doing the 20ml/day btw.
