Is this a new telomere extender, similar to TA-65? ...or is it TA-65? I wondered what happened to Dolly's clone and remembered the clones having issues with shorter lifespans, due to the already short telomeres of the somatic cells they used for cloning. Recently, researchers have been using trichostatin A to extend cloned animals' telomeres and thereby extend their lives. Trichostatin A is believed to use the ALT pathway to extend telomeres.
