Hi guys,
I just wanted to make this poll to see how many of you are monitoring sleep while taking nootropics and what are your results.
From my research and experience, I can say that sleep is perhaps one of the best, safest and most available nootropics known to man. However, it is more often than not overlooked by the nootropic community.
I just had to ask myself what is the point of starting a new stack when I have no idea how it will interfere with another nootropic which I already take - a healthy dose of REM and Deep sleep?
I can mostly feel the difference between a good dose of Deep sleep and not (not so much with REM or light). If I get 1 hour or less of Deep sleep, my cognitive ability is compromised. If I get more, I feel good and if I get close to 2 hours or more, I feel like a "virgin dose" of piracetam has been taken (even though it wasn't).
So I would like to discuss your personal results regarding sleep quality/nootropics, also some sleep "hacks" and anything related to sleep.
To start:
1. I recommend the app Sleep Time. It's free for tracking and saving up to 5 consecutive nights. You can upgrade for ca $2 to unlimited nights. I personally use Withings Aura to monitor my sleep, but I used both and the readings were 95% similar. The only minor problem is that it's not able to distinguish between Deep and REM sleep - it put them together. Sleep cycle App might be another alternative for about $1.
Don't forget to put it on airplane mode.
