I seem to be doing well on bacopa. I think some studies have said benefits may take 12 weeks, so the placebo effect could be at play. Of course people respond to supplements individually as well.
It's nice not to have to worry about interactions with the ashwagandha I'm also taking. These two nootropic herbs have been taken together in India for a long time. I think the ashwagandha, while lowering my anxiety, also lowered my motivation a bit, and the bacopa may be bringing that back up.
I saw my psychiatrist recently, and he agreed that I'm doing very well these days. I'm seeing him half as often as I used to, and I'm taking half the medication I used to as well.
So I continue my "back to the future" strategy of learning the latest research on traditional remedies and diets...
