I have submitted a number of posts on various chat forums across the web, but I have found it very prudent to keep an active blog to track the status of MFURI (Methuselah Foundation Undergraduate Research Initiative) and to utilize this means of communication to disperse knowledge and opportunities to everyone interested in making real contributions to the war on aging.
MFURI itself is recent endeavor aimed at recruiting undergraduate college students across the United States into research teams to perform laboratory research and literature reviews to expand our knowledge of aging and age related pathologies. Within the United States education system, students can receive college credit, scholarships, and prestigious recommendations for their contributions. While we have no program for students elsewhere to receive university credit, they may still contribute and be eligible to apply for many of our available scholarships. MFURI welcomes new projects and direction from existing researchers. If you are not a student but are interested in doing some research or wish to contribute, we would love to have you perform research under the direction of MFURI. However, non-students will not be eligible to apply for our scholarships.
This blog is intended to keep members updated on the latest, cutting edge projects and developments within MFURI, and hopefully entice a number of you to jump aboard and join us. Individuals of all manners of background and education are encouraged to become involved. For further information, please consult our website at www.mfuri.org.
