Hi,
I think the 2 words go together, Steph posted some url about bionics, and I think it should be regarded seriously as a way to help us achieve immortality.
I think Bionics is as bioinformatics not well explored for solutions of the cryonics patients.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bionics
is a nice page. As miniaturization and computer science evoluate, we will no longer need bio-wet-organ except our brains.
Big researchs must be done for stoping aging in the brain, as well as big researchs must be done for developing compatible bionics with the brain.
And then finally we must have nanomachines to repair the brains of older cryonics patients. Older but I must precise also the others with bad ischemia.
So here are the solutions for cryonics patients as a conclusion:
1) Nanomedicine, Nanomachines, Nanotechnology, Nanoengineering.
2) Biotechnology, Biomedical Gerontology, Bioengineering, Bionics.
3) Simulations, Bioinformatics and Computer Sciences.
