There was one movie I wanted to see, What If, a romantic comedy. It looked potentially inoffensive and slightly interesting. That's the best you can do these days so I thought I'd get some snacks and go see it. It came out about a week ago but I squirreled it away for later because the whole "Chatsworth has a girlfriend" thing happened last week. I learned that my friend had gotten a girlfriend after fourteen years. That seemed like enough for one weekend. I thought I'd go the second week which is now. I looked up the schedule. It was on the list of movies at the theater but no times were scheduled. There were nine movies and eight theaters so I guess it lost some kind of game of musical chairs. One of the movies it lost to was about elderly men traveling through Iceland learning about old age and loss. WTF? !@#$%^&* !@#$%%^&**&^%!!!
What are you trying to do to me? Are movies for half the human race so feeble, so poorly made, so undervalued that if you blink, they are gone? Why are they trying to do me out of movies? I love movies. I'd see three a week. Why are they @#$%ing up? What a bunch of !@#$%heads!!!!! Stop it.
Now I'm stuck in my head for another Friday night. Wanted to live a healthier, more balanced life but they took all the stuff away. Those !@#$faces!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stuck in my head. Like the world would explode if I could get some snacks and enjoy a movie on a Friday.
. . . .
I just looked up someone's traffic violation record that I needed to check on. They seem to maybe have a lot of violations. I was trying to interpret the legalese so I looked up my own record for context. I should not have done that. It made me sick to remember the thing. And in contrast to many such records where you can't really tell what it's about, the stuff I am worried about is nice and clear. Great. I can have it expunged but I have more pressing errands and being concerned about one's appearance in public records seems vain or superficial right now. Right. I should not have done that. I should not have done that.
I did find out why the prosecutor dismissed the second charge out of hand, "lack of evidence." Not sure that's the reason but not looking a gift horse in the mouth. Maybe he doesn't believe it's a legitimate law.
It just proves that reading traffic records is more difficult that it should be, and you should not be doing that on a Friday night.
But whose fault is that, Amalgamated Theatres?*
