There's nothing like an object lesson in the livability of the world

Trying more that usual. Not sure I'm getting anywhere. I happened to be at a mall when I was having a challenging day, I realized I was outside an upscale department store. I went inside and it was instantly cooler and quieter, not to mention beautifuler. There was a lounge-like space outside the bathrooms. I stayed there for a while and made some phone calls. I called a prayer line. The guy delivered a beautiful prayer that was written specifically for me. As he finished, "Knocking on Heaven's Door" came on the sound system. The bathrooms are designed so you know you are in a luxurious place. It works. I noticed the cafe. I went there and ordered their anorexic Cobb salad, two glasses of Prosecco, and flourless chocolate cake. Upon my request the waiter brought me two tiny french breads to go with the salad. He acted like having bread or crackers with a salad was a new idea. After that I was feeling better. There's nothing like an object lesson in the livability of the world.
I went to the bookstore. Later I got some steak and grilled French bread from a bar and some tomatoes I brought for home. Ate them in a courtyard.
Today I made myself a steak with baby greens, spinach, rice and broiled tomatoes with blue cheese. It was good. I don't know what my neighbors think of the cooking smells coming out of my apartment but once the guy tried to date me because of it.
