Docs say chemicals cause microcephaly, not Zika
microcephaly zika virus
According to the WHO, of the 404 confirmed cases of microcephaly in Brazil, only 17 tested positive for Zika virus. Doctors in Brazil and Argentina point to pesticides as causing microcephaly. They say it is not the Zika virus, which was first discovered in 1947.
Extracted from an article in GM Watch News by Claire Robinson:
[According to the] Argentine doctors’ organisation, Physicians in the Crop-Sprayed Towns, . . . in the area where most sick people live, a chemical larvicide that produces malformations in mosquitoes was introduced into the drinking water supply in 2014. This poison, Pyriproxyfen, is used in a State-controlled programme aimed at eradicating disease-carrying mosquitoes.. . . It is an endocrine disruptor and is teratogenic (causes birth defects), according to the Physicians.
The Physicians commented: “Malformations detected in thousands of children from pregnant women living in areas where the Brazilian state added Pyriproxyfen to drinking water are not a coincidence . . ."
They also noted that Zika has traditionally been held to be a relatively benign disease that has never before been associated with birth defects, even in areas where it infects 75% of the population. . . .
[O]ut of 404 confirmed microcephaly cases in Brazil, only 17 (4.2%) tested positive for the Zika virus.
[The] Brazilian doctors’ and public health researchers’ organisation, Abrasco . . .also names Pyriproxyfen as a likely cause of the microcephaly.

On February 14, 2016, Coast to Coast Radio featured medical reporter Jon Rappoport talking about "The Zika Hoax." He brought up the lack of evidence linking Zika to microcephaly. He quoted the above info but he also had some other suspects that could be causing the microcephaly, including the DTap vaccine recommended for pregnant women in Brazil in 2014. He stated that Brazil is the largest user of pesticides in the world, including some banned elsewhere. Mr. Rappoport referred to research linking Atrazine and RoundUp to birth defects. He believes that there is a tradition of scapegoating viruses for problems they haven't caused.
Mr. Rappoport called telling South American women not to get pregnant for two years "depopulation by press conference." He added, " We know that there has been a push for depopulation in certain are for a long time . . . We're talking about expropriation of very fertile land . . ." Rappoport warned that the Olympics might be a stage for the WHO to spread propaganda about the virus.
