I've been exercising and eating well. As a result, I am as fat as before. My prominent stomach is still prominent. I've been doing tightening exercises on my midsection and but. My waist is smaller, the better to show off my large stomach and expansive behind. It has been raised by exercising but in no way diminished. I exercise almost every day as well as moving around more as I am leaving my wheelchair/inactivity behind. I've been sticking to a healthy routine for a while and it's time for some results to be showing. But they don't.
I know a lot of it is swimming in cold water. The body makes a protective layer of fat around the the internal organs, like I'm a flippin' seal. Swimming is one of the few exercises I can do. I guess I need a wetsuit? How annoying. I'll bet they cost a lot too. And the chorine in my pool will destroy it.
I feel frustrated and confused about the appearance aspects of this problem, but I'm grateful for the health benefits and the increased mobility.
