What's the Most Frightening Part of the Republican Convention?
politics
(Gleaned from watching Democracy Now's coverage) http://www.democracynow.org
The fact that a few billionaires are trying to buy the next election and won't even answer questions from journalists?
That billionaire Sheldon Adelson's daughter body-slammed a Democracy Now cameraman without provocation and stole his camera simply because they asked her father a question? How violent and lawless are these plutocrats? (See the video) http://www.democracy...p_donor_sheldon
That two attendees threw nuts at a black female CNN camerawoman while shouting, "This is how we feed the animals!"
That a former state legislator dressed like Abe Lincoln was talking about how normal it was to drug and date rape women in the old days?
The fact that they may have pulled illegal maneuvers to shut out popular independent candidate Ron Paul?
That they want to outlaw abortion.
That they want to do more of the stupid things that crashed the economy?
That they want to take anything the poor and middle-class have left and give it to the rich?
That in spite of an almost total lack of merit, most of their positions are advancing.
The sight of Republicans dancing?
That thousands of people who look like replicants left gated golf course communities all over the country, flew to Tampa, paraded around in red, white and blue costumes, pretended to get passionate about things that no one can possibly believe in, acted like they don't have or cause abortions or have sex organs, or ever took any government assistance (which is a big fat lie), and paraded around like giant freakin' hypocrites, after which they hired strippers or male or female hookers, went back to their gated communities and attended church. Years later the women will be diagnosed with addictions to prescription medicines and the men will come out of the closet.
This is not democracy, this is plutocracy with a large side order of hypocrisy.
