Just tried to open a twitter account. My name was taken. I chose another. I followed the steps but when I clicked on "Create An Account" the words just wiggled on the page. I tried to sign in to my new account. I was forced to type two extra things to confirm that I'm human. I am. As many times as they made me sign in AND prove that I'm human there was nothing further. Eventually I got a screen saying that Twitter was over capacity and go to their Issues page for more information. There was none. You suck, Twitter.
They also said people could find me by my email, which I don't want. But then they said that my email would not be publicly viewable. Which is it?
Before I tried to open a Tumblr. I got to the part where they wanted me to import all my contacts. But I didn't want to. There didn't seem to be an alternative. I tried every which way. After a frustrating experience I gave up and wrote a snarly hot-headed email to the head of Twitter. Why should you have to give all your friend's contact info to a site you just joined? Who says I even have any friends?
I realize how preeminent Twitter is but they seem a bunch of incompetent fuckheads. The guy that runs it is supposed to be vegan. Yup. What surprises me is how important Twitter is when these are the experiences they deal out to users, both times I tried to use them. Fuck you Twitter. You suck!!!!!!!!!
