Humanity’s future is inextricably tied to technology. The biggest problems looming on our near horizon will only be solved with new perspectives…and new tools. The biggest potential disasters that humanity has ever experiences also idle within view...fueled and enabled by emerging technologies.

As a species, we cannot stop. But we must move ahead intelligently. We have to learn how to utilize new breakthrough technologies to solve our biggest, intractable problems—and not kill ourselves in the process. Our social systems must quickly adapt to the unprecedented, accelerating technological change that surrounds us.
