Stength, Endurance, and Vitality: An Exercise-Memetic and Synergism Stack
cordyceps sinensis fermented mycelium (cs-4 0.3% adenosine)) cordyceps militaris fruiting bodies (0.3% cordycepin) ashwagandha extract (ksm-66) ginger extract (5% gingerol)
Description
This stack is designed for general health and well-being, with special attention to increasing aerobic exercise capacity, muscular strength, respiratory function, testosterone, libido, and mitochondrial function/ATP levels. It is simple, with only 4 components, yet very effective from my personal experience.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cordyceps:
Cordyceps has been written of and revered since the Tang Dynasty (620 AD). Wild cordyceps is worth more than its weight in gold, and as a result, is prohibitively expensive for the vast majority of consumers. By combining lab-grown C.Sinensis CS-4 Mycelium with lab-grown C.Militaris fruiting body powder, one can achieve a ratio of active components (adenosine, cordycepin, polysaccharides) that is very close to what is found in wild, naturally grown cordyceps. Cordyceps has numerous studies supporting it's use as an effective exercise memetic, while also having potential to mediate some of the negative effects of aging and potentially increase lifespan.
Cordyceps sinensis promotes exercise endurance capacity of rats by activating skeletal muscle metabolic regulators.
In vivo and in vitro stimulatory effects of Cordyceps sinensis on testosterone production in mouse Leydig cells
Protective Effects on Mitochondria and Anti-Aging Activity of Polysaccharides from Cultivated Fruiting Bodies of Cordyceps militaris
Cordyceps sinensis CS-4 restores aging-associated changes in gene expression and extends lifespan in normal aged mice
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ashwagandha:
Ashwaganda is another traditional adaptogen with a large body of scientific research supporting its purported effects. KSM-66 (standardized to 5% withanolides) is a component of this stack because it has been shown in published research to improve cardiorespiratory endurance, physical strength, testosterone levels, and sexual function.
Examining the effect of Withania somnifera supplementation on muscle strength and recovery: a randomized controlled trial:
Efficacy of Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera [L.] Dunal) in improving cardiorespiratory endurance in healthy athletic adults
Clinical Evaluation of the Spermatogenic Activity of the Root Extract of Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) in Oligospermic Males: A Pilot Study
Body Weight Management in Adults Under Chronic Stress Through Treatment With Ashwagandha Root Extract: A Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Trial
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ginger:
Ginger, for the promotion of testosterone, appetite, and management of excess inflammation. (Also effective for rhintis)
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) Reduces Muscle Pain Caused by Eccentric Exercise
The effect of Ginger on semen parameters and serum FSH, LH & testosterone of infertile men.
Effects of Zingiber Officinale on Reproductive Functions in the Male Rat
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RESULTS: Both CS supplementation and supplementation concurrent with exercise improved exercise endurance by 1.79- (P<0.05) and 2.9-fold (P<0.01) respectively as compared to placebo rats.Antiaging effect of Cordyceps sinensis extract
