Seems like it's heading that way.

GOOD!
Well, in the case of Phenibut and Kratom that is!
It's always bothered me to no end that so many people in the nootropics-community seems to consider these two HIGHLY DANGEROUS and SIDE-EFFECTS-PRONE, DEPENDENCY-CREATING SUBSTANCES as Nootropics...!
Laughable.
In general these people give off a, to me, very irresponsible vibe - the kind of people whom continously vote these substances along with AMPHETAMINE as the best nootropics...!
Those are not nootropics, and they are/should be controlled for a reason! Really, how many threads about dependency of both, and how hard it is to quit them both, have we not seen through the years? How many people in the community have we not seen fool themselves into thinking they've got it under control, to later see them come whining and begging on their bare knees for help and insight?
Now, Tianeptine is more in a grey area, it's not a nootropic, it's a drug with clear risks and such, but it's not as dangerous and generally not as controlled - for a reason - in most jurisdictions.

I think the phenibut sub was good as it informed about the dangers of the drug and gave directions how to use it properly. I mean removing the discussion won't remove phenibut from the market, and more people may use it in a wrong way when their source of information changes to something like Bluelight.

I agree, they are not really nootropic.
However, both are strongly useful in some situations. The dose makes the poison etc. - just be smart about use, and there are absolutely no problems. This is the same for all substances, whether it be cholinergics, vitamins or coffee.

All right, fair enough - I would argue that almost no one can use them the right way though, since the wast majority whom post about it, seem to be having difficulties with addiction or withdrawals.
But there is something to be said for damage-mitigation - I responded in a fairly impulsive, aggressive manor in my last post, even though I have actually come to the conclusion that damage-mitigation, i.e treatment and promotion of knowledge of substances, is preferred to disbarment and the mystification that comes from most legal definitions of "drugs".
With that said, what is your assessment of these sub-reddits, are they promoting knowledge about the drugs, and letting people in on the risks related to their usage?
I have my doubts that is what has been going on, but I would love to be proven wrong.
Btw, this brings up an interesting point - perhaps LONGECITY should have some kind of sub-forum regarding these compounds? Grey-area drugs and medications which are problematic, and require special education in order to, well, PROLONG LIFE-SPAN.
Enhancing drug-control, awareness and usage to a new, enlightened level could remove a GROWING barrier in humanity's life-span - the over-dose epidemic currently sweeping the USA, caused by Fentanyl-spiked Heroin is a perfect example of what can happen when the laws and the knowledge regarding drugs are the way they are.
The fact that a lot of that particular city (which one is it... flint? michigan? somewhere in the tri-state area...) can be traced to the weakness of actual prescribers, trained Doctors, is especially damning.
What sort of practices should we, the responsible members of Longecity, and the Imminst advocate for?

A lot of people who took kratom did so for chronic pain, and now they will turn to usually more harmful alternatives, some of which will be legal through their doctor.
I think there is a lot to be said for autonomy in these situations. If some one, e.g over 21, with back pain wants to go out and buy some kratom for their pain, then I think they should be able to. Seeing is it isn't all that dangerous actually, probably no more so than cannabis. If we were talking about some highly purified refined opiate pain killer, then of course it should be highly controlled.
I also think kratom users should be allowed to talk about it with other people who are in similar situations, i.e. in forums.

Ideally but regulations and the media change public opinions very quickly right now all I see on the news is kratom kills, kratom sickens people with bacteria, and kratom is used by heroin addicts. How could any politician, gov, or business support this or users in this climate any more than sites for heroin users to discuss it?

This is terrible. It's obnoxious how censored this nanny state is getting with its draconian stance on what people can and can't do with their own bodies. Prohibition, state driven or otherwise, just results in less safety and more underground gangs and violence. I can't condone this move. It's Reddit's property to do with as they see fit but it's gonna hurt them and everyone else in the end.

I agree with Nate on this one. Even worse is FOSTA: https://www.eff.org/...ine-communities
Making online platforms liable for content of their users (just ""sex trafficking" now, but it opens a door....sets a precedent). If more and more liability is placed upon online communication, websites like Reddit and LongeCity will have to shut down.

I thought this went against some old law relating to internet providers that they can't held for something someone simply says but now it's anything illegal or even grey (Tinder's next guys) which certain covers RCs and Nootropics many here take and discuss. Would Longecity have a Tor site to continue to support the community if such a situation arises? I saw the reddit RC made a new on there. We certainly could be living in an era where what we do now with supplements, rc's, nootropics, overseas drugs will all be viewed as illegal or highly frowned upon by future generations unless a well organized group maintains freedoms and hinders over-regulations.

Not to mention an onion and i2p site. So many official orgs, companies, journalists, and tech savy people have them. Some of reddit's subs have moved there. The admins are pretty smart I'm sure they can set up something.

Where or how would one go about finding one of these communities? RCsources was extremely useful for risk management but now I have no idea what to do.

Reddit's Nootropics, Tianeptine, Phenibut, Kratom, Afinil, subs have all removed links to suppliers. Looks like it's the end of the line for rc and nootropic companies.

Advantage on what , who ? Knowledge that says restricted to a tiny amount of people doesn't evolve. It stagnates, and dies.
I agree that some substances like Phenibut should be surrounded with the proper information and warnings for people to understand that they can be risky is misused, and that other options are preferable. But sending everything, from Piracetam to Kratom into the dark webs is really bad, and will put less knowledgeable and less tech-savy users in danger for lack of proper information. Most people won't bother with onion sites and stuff like that.

Looks like they don't have a nootropics sub yet maybe you can make one for us. Those interested can join and compile our experiences and make a foundation for the future nootropics community to survive on.

I think greater responsibility falls on the user to do their own research before taking an unknown chemical.
Making a resource for nootropics seems prudent in this climate.
I'm surprised there's not as much community concern about their access to nootropics, sarms, and other biohacking chemicals being cut off. This is a huge step towards further regulations and in time illegalization
The antiaging and nootropics community needs stronger leaders to combat these actions and ensure access to these options.

i tried to get sources for tianeptine on reddit, but it was expected they deleted it. its getting real difficult to find good quality tianeptine on the net now days. newmind cut off its supply by making it "professional" only to order it and few other places are suspicious to order from. besides, the prices are going too high as well to risk it!
