A new doctor I'm seeing scripped me amphotericin and EDTA nasal sprays for my mold problem. I have Lyme and other infections and confirmed systemic mold, am also still living in a moldy environment as I've been unable to move out. I have a lot of neurological symptoms, mainly related to dysautonomia/insomnia, cognition, and neuromuscular problems. I'm worried about ALS and prion disease. I have suspected metals toxicity.

I'm afraid to try the EDTA since I've had bad reactions to pretty much all metal chelators. A lot of my neuro problems seem to involve GABA deficiency and/or glutamate toxicity. When I don't take a pharmaGABA supplement, I have bad twitching and cramping, worse dysautonomia, and worse insomnia (zopiclone only works for me when I take GABA with it).

I took amphotericin yesterday for the first time. After about an hour I felt dizzy, kind of out of it, and slightly feverish. It passed. Then at night I took my usual zopiclone/GABA combo and it did nothing for me.

I'm wondering if the amphotericin could have any kind of neurotoxicity that might be affecting me? I should add I'm highly sensitive to a lot of things, seemingly anything with the potential for neurotoxicity, so I may be the one in a million outlier, if there are any side effects.
