- The entire website allows collaborative editing, both for filters and advice, and all edits have to be accompanied by very exact references (where you don't just name a paper, but you might also point to the content from a certain page and explain why it supports your claim).
- Any of the additions or removals can be selected by someone else as the start of a debate. Then, there will be a certain user class whose sole purpose is voting on who won the completed debates, and - depending on that - the website will only show "winning" information.
Two projects that will help life extension

The second one sounds neat but will depend a lot on gathering a knowledgeable crowd to jumpstart it.

Thanks for the feedback. Payment through wire transfer is also possible. We'll have the best and most fair expert review and project oversight among all platforms because of the "Identity Checkers & Project Approvers" - feature.
I'm hoping to get a knowledgeable crowd to jumpstart the second project by using this forum. Anyone who wants to become an editor for the second project, please join our Slack and let's talk.
Also, anyone may recommend a project that we should do, which involves some kind of coding, because we're open to ideas. The only requirement is that it must help science, education or healthcare around the world.

wonderful who is 'we' in this?
There are a few things this community has long been looking for that would really help collate, discuss and potentially advance the state of the art in life-extension related science.
However, for a close integration with the LongeCity community we would need someone to work with our existing site infrastructure, database and software. Anyone able and willing to do this is warmly welcome. (Of course solutions can also grow independently from and outside of LongeCity.)

For Crypto For Science, there are more than 7 developers who have or are about to contribute code.
Honestly, with LongeCity you could just delete the entire website and start over, because it needs a total rework, it's a mess.

So there's not enough interest for the second project?
From the lack of replies, I'm guessing that there isn't. I was hoping to find 5 people on this forum that would accept the responsibility of becoming editors, once the website is live. But if I'm not even getting 5 editors from here, then I'm probably not getting them from anywhere.
So maybe I should look for another second project idea.

A similar but -at least initially- less complex project to No.2 is in the planning stage here at LC. It would involve a crowdsourced list of proven anti-aging interventions as well as factors that shorten lifespan telling a user how long they can expect to live.
We could happily use some coding help but it would have to be based on our site and existing infractructure. On the plus side there are a few editors lined up and we could even pay them a little for their efforts. Send me a PM if you are interested.

I agree that LongeCity could use a face-lift. Just need some qualified/reliable software engineers to improve the site and upgrade the forum. We can't let just any developer off the street have access to the database, server, etc...

Interesting discussion and initiative, mostly project 2. Re LC revamping I only have one wish if I am allowed to express it also here: to have a simple to act option to log my topics/post as a personal file on my computer. A lot of work and research went to them and would like to have my own back up.
