Hi everyone

I've decided to approach my local vet here in the UK and request they trial my dog on Rapamycin.

Does anyone have links to studies that I can give the vet and information on dosage?  My dog deserves this chance, he's been

a gift to me.

thanks  :-)

I promised to come back here, but forgot because I was getting no response from my Vet.

I couldn't understand that but I think I do now.  My dog recently was diagnosed with oral melanoma, and everything I've learned around that, I realise that this kind of thinking is just

too out of the box for most of them.  My Vet is great, but didn't want to try something with limited data.  He's been great re the melanoma and did think out of the box for that (message me anyone who wants to know more).  In view of the melanoma I won't be pursuing the rapamycin trials, we have enough on our hands.  I'm working with herbal and nutritional approaches to modify the immune response, and also using cimetidine (under Veterinary guidance).

I'm still interested in what anyone else finds out about this.

Maybe it is an available option after his melanoma is treated? I am also very interested, have told my pit mix I expect her to live to 130 with me.
