Take half a pill of Iodoral (a full pill is 50 mg). A single 12.5 mg Iodoral should also do the job.

Take it after a meal and write down the time and date.

The next bowel movement with the Iodine in it will be probably type 4 or 5 on the Bristol stool chart and it will burn like chilli on your anus. :|o

Write down the date and time and calculate how many hours it took.

You shouldn't do it if you have an anal fissure or hemorrhoids as this would burn like hell.

Took repeatedly up to 50mg, funny I didn't mentioned.

Though I definitely don't have too long transit time, if I eat red beets for dinner I see it the next morning.

Maybe I have a small fissure from my constipation or you were so deficient in iodine that it was completely absorbed in your intestines.

I never had red or green stool in my life, must have to do with the pH value of the intestines.

Some people also get red urine from red beets, that indicates a very acid urine.

Doubt I'm deficient, since I took in average 12 mg/d of elemental iodine the last 10 years. And raised to 50 mg last year only. Also guess with longer transit time, as in constipation, the possibly longer process for breaking down those red pigments from red beet might leave nothing at the end. Or a different microbiome.

A few activated charcoal capsules will serve the same function without the side effect you mentioned.
