Is there any sources that have any reliability for Methylphenidate? I know it is more controlled than other substances. I don’t to make some big risky purchase or anything just hoping to obtain like 10-20 pills from a reliable source to see if it is a good fit for some of my symptoms.

Methylphenidate is an illegal, controlled narcotic in many countries, possibly up to 120 countries I believe, because of the Convention on Psychotropic Substances - this U.N treaty, is more or less the basis for the majority of the developed countries drug-laws, and hence their national laws follow suit.

Why do you want to try Methylphenidate? Is it for medical purposes? If you want to do a proper medical trial, then I suggest you contact a Psychiatric Dr. and get yourself tested for the diseases which it is legal to prescribe for the treatment of, in your jurisdiction. (mostly ADHD, Narcolepsy and Idiopathic Hypersomnia)

 

If it is for non-medical reasons, then you can quite easily obtain the real prescription-drug if you visit one of the bigger Universities in your area - ask a friend, whom then asks a friend, et c - MPH-use as a study-aid have become fairly rampant in higher education in the USA, as I understand it.

I see... you mention Early Onset Parkinson's Disease? Have you actually been evaluated for this by a neurologist? And do you have familial history of PD? I have to mention that the results of trialling MPH against the symptoms of PD are questionable.

 

I would recommend you attempt a trial of selegiline instead, as that is a drug with more testing and evidence towards effects on the early stages of the disease. It of course also has neuroprotective and antidepressant properties, which certainly makes it an interesting drug - it's also available as a VETERINARY drug, so perhaps you can obtain it easier that way, if you are unable or unwilling to get a Dr's prescription.

Thanks for your insight... My PD symptoms are very minor and it is very early stage. My neurologist doesn't want to prescribe me anything at all until it is more justified with regards to PD anyway. He said to see a psychiatrist is I need mood stabilizing medication etc... Overall my energy is super low, some depression, have concentration issues and get sleepy in the afternoons. I was hoping to just get a few to try to see if it helped at all before pressuring a doctor to write me a script... You are right though it's likely not the medication of choice for my situation.
