hi
i read several websites (with no studies) that say that myo inositol lowers testosterone in men. for example, in this discussion, a doctor is claiming that inositol caused gynecomastia and lowered testosterone in his male patients .
https://www.reddit.c...sterone_in_men/

but i read this study that says 1gram myo inositol with other antioxidants actually increases testosterone in men.

my first thought was, maybe because these men have a specific health issue, or maybe the other antioxidants were the ones responsible for the testosterone increase.

what do you think?

myo inositol increase/decrease testosterone in men

Testosterone might increase and decrease due to so many co-factors, therefore the opposing results. Once correlated my 25(OH)D serum levels in an other thread to testosterone:

testosterone vs. 25(OH)D
year: ng/dl ng/ml

2010: 399 - 63
2011: 220 - 43
2012: 262 - 62
2013: 320 - 84
2014: 340 - 50
2015: 351 - 78
2016: 468 - 72
2017: 631 - 101
2018: 681 - 93

Could do the same here with my myo-inositol intake:

testosterone vs. inositol intake

year: ng/dl - mg/d

2009: - 170
2010: 399 - 220
2011: 220 - 670
2012: 262 - 1400
2013: 320 - 3970
2014: 340 - 7630
2015: 351 - 7670
2016: 468 - 9130
2017: 631 - 9800
2018: 681 - 11000

Therefore with co-factors present (which we can't know all) myo-inositol might increase testosterone. With other co-factors it might as well decrease it.
