what is your rationale for adding isoQuercetin and Fistein. to the mix? also, that graphic describes your own personal stack?

(iso)Quercetin and Fistein, among other flavonoids, help target NAD+ degradation > see here and here, for example.

The graphic is from my capsule calculator filled out for this NAD Plus stack, there's more about the calculator here. I've continued to improve its layout since then.

This particular NAD Plus stack was made into '000' capsules containing 1.25 g each.

If your dmso stinks its NOT pharma grade, flat out

it stinks because they did not fully filter out the impurities so it smells like rotten eggs at some point. Many dmso sellers just lie about it being pharma grade when it is not.

I have a bottle of true pharma grade dmso that has been opened for a couple months, has NO scent whatsoever.

Well though it is a little old, mine is reagent grade (sigma says ≥99%). It actually doesn't smell like anything to me when in the bottle or on, but my wife has a helluva sniffer that hasn't been destroyed like mine has. So lets just say that if folks are doing this, be sure to ask around and see if anyone smells anything stronger than beets on you :)

The book 'Das DMSO-Handbuch' by Dr. Hartmut P.A. Fischer states on page 21 (translated on the fly)

The to a small extent (ca. 0,5 to 1%)  repeated reduction of DSMO within the human organism to Dimethylsulfid (DMS) is the physiological cause for the already mentioned mouth-/ body odor, which occurs after every kind of application (doesn't matter if cutaneous, oral or IV). DMS has a boiling-point of exactly 37°C and is therefore mostly excreted as a gaseous metabolite via the lungs.

Interestingly, gave DMSO to my mother and father, with them the particular odor is very present. Me using the same DMSO product, haven't found anyone recognizing it, including my parents who already know it from each other.

Therefore I theorize in my case my usually a bit lower body-temperature may be the cause for me not exposing that particular odor on DMSO.

Yeah that makes sense, count yourself lucky then! And hey, thanks for the tip pamojja that led me to look up reactions with dimethyl sulfide - check it! https://www.masteror...ons-ozonolysis/ (hmmmm.............. and that could be useful.)

The solution for me, and some others to the DMSO body/breath garlic like odor is D-Limonene. Get some soft gel capsules, and take about 1 gram maybe 15 to 20 minutes before using the DMSO. My wife is like yours, and smells any change. I have used both Jarrow and Swansons.

very interesting! I take limonene becaue its great for your liver/gall bladder, and I never smell bad after using plenty of dmso so there could be an explanation right there. How did you come across this info?

It was a long time ago that I read about the DMSO/D-Limonene. It was probably from the thread linked to below. I would have researched beyond Longecity, but did not keep any records. The last link by Logic is to a thread on a site where members make all kinds of transdermals, so perhaps some great information. (My guess is that a lot of transdermals are used by those seeking Body building/Weight training/Sports training/Hormone optimization results. One of their ideas was to mix it with the transdermal formula, but I would not want to complicate the mixture if the oral D-Limonene works.

I will mention that Swanson's are 250 mg mixed with Mct oil, Jaroow's are 500 mg and Wellness Resources are 1000 mg. (1000mg is the size that LEF used to sell for GERD. The manufacturer discontinued selling them the product years ago. (I asked)) I have also used bulk food/pharmaceutical grade D-Limonene in bottles. (mixed with a carrier oil) All can be found on Amazon.

Took DMSO for the first time last night. I applied a self diluted 70% solution to a minor sprained ankle and to my lower back; I also took 1 tsp. orally. There was no discernable effect on the ankle. Interestingly, there was no issue with smell last night as I saw my parents later on and asked them. I had taken 1,000 mg of d-limonene as part of my regular supplementation just a bit earlier; did this have an effect or not? Well, this morning I took 1 tsp. orally again, but no d-limonene this morning. Well, I have a design firm with my dad and he commented on my smell being very bad this morning. This leaves me with two options as I see it: either the DMSO took longer than is common to work its way into and through my system and didn't show up as smell on me until this morning or the d-limonene neutralized the DMSO odor in my body night while it was present but did not have that effect this morning as it was out of my system. I will test that latter theory later today by taking more d-limonene.

I am dissappointed that I haven't felt the relief that so many people speak of with DMSO, but I am patient and will stick with it for a bit.

"Okay, here's an update on my DMSO experience with respect to smell. After smelling yesterday I went by my parents house. I had my mother confirm that I did not smell good at which point I took 1,000 mg of d-limonene. Roughly 30 minutes later I asked again and was told I no longer smelled bad but rather smelled like some version of baby food carrots. I then proceeded to take another tsp. orally of DMSO; no resultant increase in smell. This morning I made sure to take 1,000 mg of d-limonene and then orally took 1 tsp. of DMSO; again, no stank except for the odd baby food smell. I should point out that I can't differentiate my own smell.

So, it looks like d-limonene may be an effective odor neutralizer for DMSO. My only concern is if it adversely impacts the efficacy of DMSO as a therapeutic agent. I am not really sure how to measure this, but I am planning to mix some d-limonene with DMSO just to observe what type of reaction if any takes place in terms of visual and offactory components."

Awesome insights. Just wondering could we use another substance that helps deep absorption?

Has anyone considered MSM?

how-does-msm-help-in-skin-care

"When MSM is used in Cosmetic creams and gels, the skin softens, becomes smoother and the appearance of the complexion is improved significantly. MSM (Organic Sulfur) makes skin cell walls more permeable and this allows nutrients to enter and toxins to exit (Mindell, 1997). In turn new skin cells are healthier and reproduce more healthy cells, thus improving the condition of the skin and the appearance of lines and wrinkles is greatly reduced (Tenney, 1998)."

Bust on this one, my wife absolutely will not have it (according to her, it smells worse than most isonitriles I've messed with). I had always been careful to never allow DMSO on my skin before this, unfortunately it cannot get on my skin again or I risk divorce. If you're doing life like Thoreau, go for it.

She can be de-sensitized by taking a drop of pure DMSO liquid in water, perhaps with a little organic lemon and adding a drop every couple of days to gradually increase how much she has in circulation. If she has DMSO in her system, she will not find DMSO in yours offensive.

DMSO taken orally is something like 1/7th as toxic as aspirin. I occasionally take a teaspoon in an organic juice as an anti-aging antioxidant/anti-inflammatory agent with far-reaching metabolic effects.

To learn the most in one well-referenced publication, read DMSO: Nature's Healer, by Walker.

I hope that this helps.

beat place to put is on the wrist, the lower abdomen, or on the shoulder blade. These locations feature the best access to blood vessels.

Or above the soles and palms they have thin layer of skin
