Healthy female of child bearing age, compound heterozygous MTHFR. Mostly paleo/very little processed food. I often wake up at night and rarely get more than 5-6 hours sleep and would like to improve on that. Melatonin?
I had amalgam fillings removed 18months ago - after being quite sick for 3 months (though I was going to die) my sleep and energy levels have improved greatly since but there is room for improvement, currently looking at mild chelating agents. Any help appreciated.
For aluminium I'm currently researching silica but not sure if I should go for Biosil or Monomethylsilanetriol (which is cheap enough as it's produced here in Ireland) Also drinking Volvic every day.
500mg Vitamin C: Now C-500 complex with Bioflavonoids, acerola and rose hips (I split these and take half in the morning and half at night)
100mg Kaneka Ubiquinol: Healthy origins natural ubiquinol - should I switch to a cheaper form and take 200mg?
25,000 IU Viamin A: Now Vitamin A from fish liver oil (I cycle these every other week, in combination with B vits and Omegas this gives me beautiful skin, is it too much?)
5000 IU D3: Dorctor's Best - From October until June ( I live in Ireland, no possibility to get any D3 in winter, I only get Sun in the summer on holidays)
3g cod liver oil/750mg Omega-3: Nordic naturals Arctic cod liver oil, I often forget to take these.
280mg Magnesium Malate: source naturals (at night)
1 caps of various multi strain probiotics
100mg Pycnogenol: healthy origins
150mcg molybdenum (to help detox mercury)
100mcg Vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7): Healthy origins (every other day)
10mg Lutein:NOW
B-Complex: Jarrow B-right :
- Thiamin (as thiamin mononitrate 25 mg
- Riboflavin 25 mg
- Niacin (as nicotinic acid) 25 mg
- Niacin (as nicotinamide) 100 mg
- Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCl) 25 mg
- Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxal 5- phosphate) 10 mg
- Folate (as Quatrefolic (6S-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid glucosamine salt) 400 mcg
- Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) 100 mg
- Biotin 100 mcg
- Vitamin B5 (as calcium D-pantothenate 100 mg
- Choline (as choline bitartrate) 50 mg
- Pantethine (vitamin B5 derivative) 25 mg
- Inositol 50 mg
I would like to find a different B-complex. Too much methyl-folate gives me anxiety wether in pill or smoothie form. Thoughts as to why that could be?
1000 IU hydroxocobalamin I inject it every 2 months (Not deficient but it seems to improve my sleep- bough over the counter in Germany)
I also take glycine and inositol powders when I wake up at night which helps.
Any critique greatly appreciated
