What are your experiences with NADH? Can it have procognitive effects and give energy boost for healthy people(without CFS)? I have read some very optimistic reports written by guys who tried it.
NADH as a energy booster?

More than 1g? Wow, companies sell 10-20mg capsules. Are you sure you are talking about NADH (Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)?

And im talking about NADH there as in the topic. NOW foods and Swanson for example sell 10mg capsules.

I think NADH has a subtle but unique mood boosting effect, which can be quite pleasant. It's a pretty common supplement so it seems unlikely that it does nothing.

You tried it personally? What dosages? I have read that it may increase the production of dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin.

I used 20 mg sublingually for a time. For me the effect was that when I felt I could not stand my office job anymore it helped me to get back into the flow.

How would you compare its effects to caffeine? Does it cause any anxiety?

I would say it reduces anxiety. It's not a stimulant like caffeine, rather it seems to get your brain working a bit more smoothly.

NAD exists in oxidized and reduced forms--NAD+ and NADH, so NADH is just one state of NAD.

What I don't understand is why is NADH not talked about more? Does NADH not enter cells? I can't seem to find info about this, NADH supplements have been around for ages, and they definitely have an effect, though I am liking the effects of NR (cycled), smooth energy, need high dosage for it to not be all converted into Niacinamide though.

It's a good question if NADH has an effect that NR hasn't. In my experience NR put me in a hypomanic state for a some time, after that the mental effect was much less pronounced- maybe improved mental strength. At the moment I am taking neither.

This has been a unanswered question in my head for a long time, if you figure something out do tell
