guys adding tryptophan to gelatin?

So, if you look at the amino acid schedule of collagen you will see that there is hardly any tryptophan.

 

A search online revealed there is a firm adding tryptophan to it along with vitamin C.  Can adding tryptophan to it make it something else?  For what reason would you do this?  There is a reason it has no tryptophan and I feel like adding that would make it no longer the same product.  Am I incorrect?  Seriously, would taking gelatin with added tryptophan result in it being used in another way by your body?
