Maoi is regularly prescribed for depression and is a great motivation booster/nootropic IME.

Beta blockers (like clonidine) are regularly prescribed for sleep issues. - https://www.medicine...nax/article.htm

Reversible MAOI (like moclobemide) allow excess norepeniphrine to proliferate during sleeping hours thereby disrupting sleep.

My experience with clonidine on MAOI was horrible as the half life is FAR too long (12 hours) and led me to be fatigued for over 2 days with depressed respiration rate. More looking at something like pronalol (4hours) or Phentolamine (20mins).
