What happens to dopamine levels as you increase serotonin?    Assume you are using L-tryptophan or 5-HTP to generate the extra serotonin.

 

Is it the case that added serotonin acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter without affecting dopamine levels, or is there a pathway by which the increased serotonin levels might actually reduce dopamine levels?

there is a negative feedback between those 2. the exact nature of that i'm unsure.
