I have been trying different nooptropics, have a large array of supplements - such as pqq, 7-8 dhf, creatine, nicotinic riboside, + more. I have never really tried nicotinic agonists. Recently, I tried some nicotine toothpicks and found it does help memory and attention, about 1-2 mg per/day. I am concerned about long term side effects, especially the fact it activates the sympathetic ganglia and leads to sympathetic arousal which lead to higher cortisol and blood pressure, among other things.
I saw two promising agents from the wikipedia page on α7 agonists and then ooked on pubmed but not finding much. Galantamine and Tropisetron look promising. Anyone travel down this path and if so what happened?
