I honestly don't know if taking something else that increases IGF-1 will duplicate this. Dr. Fahy speculates that HGH does more than just increase IGF-1, and it's presence may affect other mechanisms. Just from what I see from those taking it on forums like eroids.com, HGH seems to provide the most dramatic improvements on things like skin, at least compared to other peptides that affect IGF-1. And the improvement can be extraordinary. Check out the latest videos from Dr. Fahy. He's been on the protocol since January, and his face has really transformed. He also said a lady in her 70s took it, and within a few months, she was not even recognizable as the same person. He says it doesn't work on everyone though. I don't know if Ubiquinol will have this same effect.

Oh, I've seen recent videos, and Dr. Fahy's new rosy-apple cheeks are darling! It was so funny to hear him say in one video that "we haven't noticed any dramatic skin changes", while his own face looked thirty years younger. I guess you don't notice changes that you see happen bit by bit in the mirror every day?

And I don't believe that the protocol my husband and I are using is actually shrinking our thymuses... But since we don't have $36,000 to spend every year for a couple of years, and don't want to experiment with injections of anything at this time, we'll just have to get along on the thymuses we have.

HOWEVER.... With that said, I have to say that the two of us wake up giggling like naughty schoolchildren every morning.

I'm 60, and my hair has reverted to BROWN. It's silky and shiny, with only one or two strands of gray to be found if I search very hard.

My inflammation is gone, my asthma is gone, my joint pain is gone. Maybe my thymus is still 60... But after only a month on the full supplement regimen, I FEEL 40!

And because they're all OTC supplements that we can buy on Amazon, we can stay on this regimen forever. We don't have to quit after a year because it's too expensive, or because of risks to our health.

He's 65, and after only two weeks on this regimen, my husband's beard is growing in visibly darker. I don't expect it to ever be entirely dark, as my hair is, because it's had streaks of gray since his late thirties. But it's only been TWO WEEKS!!! After he trimmed it yesterday and got a good look at himself, he went and took his vitamins right away with no grumbling.

He worked on our roof all day Sunday, and he was a little sore Monday. But by yesterday morning the stiffness was gone, and he was back on the roof in the afternoon.

We're sleeping incredibly well, and (TMI WARNING!!!) this week we had the most incredible sex we've had in twenty years. I mean, it's always good, but I'm back to being flexible and loose-jointed, and having full-body orgasms with an afterglow that lasts for hours. And he's as frisky as a colt!

Does that sound like we need more rejuvenation right this minute?

We're pretty happy with the way this is working. Maybe in a few years, when the cost comes down, we'll try Fahy's protocol... But for now, we're good, and we can continue to take these supplements indefinitely.

That's impressive about the hair color.  The hair color only un-greyed in two of the participants of the original TRIIM study.  I've heard of a few strategies that seem to help with gray hair but they only seem to work on a small number of people.

The TRIIM study did not show improved trends in the biomarkers until the end of the study.  In fact most biomarkers, actually got worse at 6 months, but at 12 months... everything drastically went in the right direction.  This actually makes sense, since the thymus didn't really increase in size until the 9th or 10th month.

As far as skin improvements, I don't think its related to the thymus growing in anyway, since skin improvements happen in the first couple months, way before the thymus changed.  I think its just HGH honestly.  When I asked Dr. Fahy why he looks so young in the latest videos, he responded somewhat jokingly, 'its just the lighting'.  Followed by, 'but seriously, I think something DID happen.

See now, there's where our perspectives differ -- I didn't even notice my hair color had changed until many months after I started taking 5-HTP.

Meanwhile, my asthma was worsening to the point that I was calling my insurance company to fight with them over not covering all the inhalers I needed per month. And my joints were so stiff I felt I could barely move.

Hair color is nothing.

After I started taking CO-Q10 is when the REAL changes started happening... And adding DHEA is, I think, what triggered our libidos.

So while it's great that his beard is getting darker, what matters most is his answer when I ask him every morning, "How do you feel?"

Because hair color means nothing one way or the other. Nobody wants to live 1,000 years with brown hair, gasping for breath, and in constant pain.

But with gray hair, loose limbs, and fantastic sex?? Oh yeah, I'm up for that!

;-D
