"Active Hexose Correlated Compound (AHCC) is an extract derived from Shiitake, as well as other species of Basidiomycete family of mushrooms. AHCC is a mixture of polysaccharides, amino acids, lipids, and minerals. Oligosaccharides make up about 74 percent of AHCC."

I want to use this to help my immune system fight off infections but I'm so sensitive to anything that affects GABA, NMDA (even magnesium), glutamate, etc. since having an adverse reaction to Klonopin and a long and rough taper off. I can't find anything about AHCC affecting these neurotransmitters. Does anyone know if lipids and/or polysaccharides affect the central nervous system?

Thanks in advance
