Since Covid19 attacks badly only the elderly, and young people usually has mild and easily recover. I am wondering if NR can help the elderly to fight the virus by making the organ younger?

Just a thought.

It wont rejuvenate your organs but there is plenty of traditional medicine where subjects are placed in the sun and fresh air with good result. I would want the sun for the UV-B

Got source/link?

You mean the patient just stand/sit under the sun and breathe fresh air with good result?

During the 1918 "spanish flu" epidemic, fresh air and sunlight was the main treatment.  Hundreds or thousands of articles about that.

Check out this article: https://www.bloomber...-show-it-can-be.

28000 of the serious cases in Italy were between the ages of 19 and 50.

Nobody knows if NR will help with COVID 19, but it stands to reason that if makes you feel healthier, then it should help. It gave me relief from osteoarthritis, so it may have anti inflammatory properties that could help prevent the cytokine storm that kills Covid 19 victims.

I don't know if that will be case, but I am going to keep taking it, along with a multivitamin that contains zinc.

And if I can get hydroxychloroquine I will take that as well. Here is a screen shot of a map showing countries that are under attack from Covid 19, and shows countries that regularly use the drug due to high malaria exposure.

The malaria countries seem to be doing better with regard to Covid 19. Sorry, I can't do better than a picture of a TV screen, but I would like to know if that map can be verified.

What are the 2 papers?  What is new?  The chart you posted is from a 2012 study that shows Herpes virus depletes intracellular NAD+ levels, but that restoring NAD+ does not defeat the virus or repair function in the infected cells.

A review that theorizes NAD may be beneficial in fighting covid-19, but no mention of NR anywhere in this study.

Look for B3.

Here is a screen shot of a paper on treating covid-19. I
Don’t have the link handy.

Randomized and placebo controlled trial shows metabolic factors including Tru Niagen shortened recovery time by 30% for mild and moderate covid-19 patients. The trial will expand to 400 people for a phase iii trial.

We therefore investigated the effect of treatment with NAD+ and found that the pneumonia phenotypes, including excessive inammatory cell inltration and embolization in SARS-CoV-2 infected lungs were signicantly rescued by boosting NAD+ levels. Most notable, cell death was suppressed substantially (>65%) by NAD+ supplementation. Thus, our in vivo mouse study supports trials for treating COVID-19 patients with NAD+ or its precursors.

So they gave mice a covid infection,  injected them with  NAD+ and found it didn't limit infection, but greatly increased survival.

Very similar to Dr Huziengas studies on humans given NMN.

I guess NMN and NAD+ are not "trapped" in the bloodstream, but are shown again to be very effective.

Has there been a similar study yet with good results for covid where NR is the main ingredient?

I see the study above where it is part of a cocktail of many other active ingredients.  Dr Huzienga also used a cocktail, but NMN was the main ingredient, and others like TMG were secondary.

There is a clinical trial in Denmark using NR only. My guess is NMN, NR, and NAM will get similar results.
