- ageing plays an important part - if everyone had the robust immune defences of a young person, a vaccine could be much less urgent. What stronger case could there be for LongeCity’s argument that investment in aging research can have a massive beneficial impact?
- the underlying science is still being explored and yet important policy decisions have to be made. LongeCity has always been a forum for critical, but adamantly science-led discussions of health policy;

WARNING: LongeCity prides itself on high-quality scientific discussions. Still, as in any corner of the internet, we attract our share of uncivilised debaters and conspiracy theorists. LongeCity has usually a greater patience for ‘alternative’ views than some other places, relying on the social comments system in lieu of censorship. But life extension science itself has previously been dismissed as ‘fringe’ and LongeCity does not want to risk blindness to new ideas by overzealous censorship.
