I am having to endure terrible nerve pain caused by a herniated disc in my spine. It feels like my whole leg is on fire on the inside! The doctor has prescribed me tramadol 200mg 3 times a day and Pregabaline 75mg 2 times a day. I feel no effect from these at all. Lots of side effects though, constipation, confusion, racing heart, sweating, hot flashes, cold flashes and terrible clumsiness. But it didn't even make a dent in my pain.

What is a good alternative? Any ideas?

I also take 36mg methylphenidate retart once a day for my ADHD. Could that be what's causing the ineffectiveness of the painkillers?
