Intravenous vitamin C elevates vitamin C levels 25-fold, thus strengthening the immune system. Vitamin C also has a pro-oxidant effect in this high concentrations in the bloodstream.

If cell senescence build-up is an effect of a weakened immune system, why would boosting the immune system with intravenous vitamin C, which is able to fight off serious infections, not work to remove senescent cells too?

Your thoughts are along the lines of this paper: Senescent cell clearance by the immune system: Emerging therapeutic opportunities, an approach I don't agree with. Senescent cells are more appropriately removed by cellular suicide -- apoptosis. Vitamin C can promote apoptosis in certain types of cancers by restoring normal apoptosis functioning. And while the immune system can be stimulated to clear out damaged tissue, this is a pathological response due to a failure of normal maintenance. Better not to get to that point.
