I need this communities brains help.

I have been dealing with dandruff aka sebboreic dermatitis sicca. This is essentially the non inflamed form of the disease. No redness just flaking and dry flaking and its only local to my scalp and unfortunately my beard. My skin is not dry but i still flake. This is clearly an internal issue.

Here is what i tried with extensive periods that never worked including topical and oral. B6 b2 b3 b1 b12 b5. Vitamin C. Collagen. Histidine. Taurine. Glycine. Acv rinse. Topical azelaic acid. Topical head and shoulders. Nizoral shampoo. Organic coconut based shampoo. Iodine. Topical iodine. Inositol. TMG. Magnesium. Vitamin A (makes things way worse)

Ive literally tried so many herbs too. Nothing works.

I came upon this research recently
https://www.jidonlin...(15)48320-4/pdf

The researchers discovered that oral b6 wasnt effective even after long time high dose consumption but topical application of a alcohol based b6 was highly effective.

Whats going on here. Why would b6 not work orally but work topically?

No idea but when I struggled with dandruff I cured it first by using large amounts of polysorbate 80, which is an emulsifier and common ingredient in many shampoos, but I bought some and actually applied it before bed (it kind of sticky and gross) then washed it off in the morning. Worked great, no more dandruff. But it was pain in the ass.

Then I tried jojoba oil, massaged into the scalp after a shower. That worked best. It cured it completely as long as I used it regularly.

Did you really cure it tho if u have to keep treating it. Its def an internal issue that needs to be resolved somehow. Interestingly its associated with Parkinson's disease

Yes its gone for good now, I don't treat it at all. Once my diet improved my dandruff disappeared.

Key diet factor was healthy EFAs such as cod liver oil, fish oil, flax seed, avocados, salmon, nuts, etc

I think it's a microbiome issue. I have it too and have low gut diversity per testing. Years ago I noted it was far worse when I consistently ate oatmeal.
