This is the study:

Seems there is a slightly increased risk at 0.8g day which worsens at 1.8g and above. and the pure EPA at 4g was higher risk than the 4g combined EPA DHA.
Still it's only slight for the 4g combined daily dose, 2.2% vs 1.3%

^ correction the EPA vs the EPA/DHA is a lower increase of risk, the study has a higher incidence rate in the EPA but the placebo of mineral oil does too, this is a longer study. the actual increased risk is lower than dha/epa combo.
Btw this is in at risk people with history of heart problems or negative indicators, over years, and might average out around 4% incidence rate at high doses of 4g epa or epa/dha over 5 years even in this group.
in people not at risk on low dose <1g the increased risk barely exists.
elderly people 70+ it was 7.2% compared to 4%, over 2 years at 1.8g a day EPA/DHA. <- this is where the real significance is imo as the incidence rate in general for elderly people is higher in a shorter period of time.
Otherwise the usual incidence rate without supplementation in at-risk groups might be around 2% or 3% over 5 years. with supplementation if you are at-risk with prior issues, elevated triglycerides etc, it might average to 4% incidence rate on high doses of 4g.
conclusion if you are elderly aged 70+ or are worried about a 2% incidence rate increase over 5 years, then sticking to a 1g max dose of EPA or EPA/DHA may close the incidence rate gap even more.
tldr high doses of 4g for 5 years = not very significant AF risk in non-elderly people even with prior heart issues. and completely insignificant at typical doses <1g EPA or EPA/DHA for those without prior heart issues (possibly even for those with heart issues as only 1.8g or 4g doses were used in the other studies)
