We seem to be having a few problems with how ads display and would appreciate feedback: 

 

 

1) Members should not see any google ads. They should see 'banner' ads that have been purchased specifically by a sponsor. (you should be able tell the difference by looking at the ad and see if it mentions google.) 

 

2) Google sometimes "takes over" the whole screen with an ad. We don't want that to happen, for any users (irrespective of membership)  that are logged in. On small mobile devices it may sometimes look like that's what is happening, but it should not occur on a larger screen. 

 

 

If you see an ad in contradiction of the above please let us know below, providing as much detail as possible (browser type, screenshot, what forum section you are looking at etc.)

Members and non-members alike should see paid banner ads.

 

The real problem that you have with ads is that your team or recurring system just doesn't work. Over the years I have placed banner ads, and they magically get deactivated. Whether it is a Longecity admin that is biased or its a legit technical issue, I do not know. Regardless, this is a major issue if you want to have some revenue rolling in. 

 

Do I want to pay ads to Google for banners or to Longecity for banners?

 

Easy answer is Longecity. Why feed the behemoth?

To whoever is in charge nowadays...

 

It's been 12 or 13 days since my last post on this, and I see no action.

I am assuming the Longecity team is dropping the ball on this again.

 

Guys, I have supported this website for years. I am a Lifetime Member, provided money, time resources, and specials to some members and this website alike. 

 

I suppose things have changed, or this website has gone and selected a few companies for their marketing and is not fixing the technical issues. Who knows, they may even be blackballing companies from providing banners here. If you are not going to improve your tech issues or don't want my business, please refund all the months of payments I have provided to Longecity for ads that were never shown. 

 

Here is a quick snapshot of the dates payments were made. Have your accountant verify them.

What kind of banner was I trying to use recently?

That's easy... One that stated:
