Hello all, I apologize if this has been covered before in any way. I'm 51, been training (love my weight training) for over 30 years, have never been on any anabolics/HRT, degree in Kinesiology blah, blah, blah. What sees to be the consensus if you are trying to be as healthy as possible yet retain/gain muscle as we age.....more specifically in regards to high protein? MTOR good for muscle, bad for longevity etc? I like to follow some sort of blue zone/mediterranean in way of eating, but sometimes difficult to get in the recommended amount of protein for maintaining/gaining muscle ~1gm per lb of bodyweight etc....All your thoughts and responses are appreciated! Thanks.
Staying lean, relatively muscular and strong (enough) as we age as healthy as possible
