Thiamine 100mg+ over 7 days, gave a higher survival rate & lower incidence of thrombosis https://ccforum.biom...054-021-03648-9

some more on thiamine in the megathread - https://www.longecit...ndpost&p=909342

bovine (apo)Lactoferrin (known purpose is to kill a broad range of pathogens through iron mechanism & other) might also be one to keep an eye on

i wondered what doses of vitamin c can cause oxalate issues. with 1g you see an increase, and 2 patients in a covid trial at very high vit c doses needed kidney replacements. but looks like its either in rare cases in people with kidney damage , or (maybe) with chronic use of 1g+ vitamin c daily over months/years (studies are mixed but a lot don't control for water intake etc). They did a follow up for 12 months for the high dose groups and found no stone reports (but did not measure for asymptomatic ones), so gives some weight to high dose in short time windows in people with functioning kidneys being ok  https://www.ncbi.nlm...les/PMC5981254/

Due to walking-disability due to PAD I used lifestyle-interventions, orthomolecular and herbal medicine, and experienced remissions (PAD, COPD, T2D, CKD..). Also Paulings therapy, about 25g of ascorbic acid in average every day for 13 years!

Had CKD stage 1 at the beginning, long gone. Also been active on many health-forums with users of such high doses of vitamin C, but never heard of anyone complain of oxalate issues.

The only health forum I regularly hear of oxalate issus is Phonix-Rising with ME patients, who have oxalate issues already without ascorbic acid.

To me it seems the increase of oxalate after vitamin C adminstration (a breakdown product) is something totally unrelated with real oxalate issues, since it doesn't come with its debilitating symptoms.

2 patients in a covid trial at very high vit c doses needed kidney replacements

Covid patients usually have a number of comorbities, this is like saying anyone dying in a hospice on morphium died from it. To Covid patients also Remdesevir or often given Antibiotics could have caused it too (beside the comorbities).

That post about diphenhyramine and lactoferin says it's not a commercially available type of lactoferin.

What is this about more than 1g of vit C being bad?  Don't posters regularly say they use 5g or more per day?

"What is this about more than 1g of vit C being bad?  Don't posters regularly say they use 5g or more per day?""

Excellent article here on vitamin C as well as other nutrients

http://orthomolecula...ns/v17n17.shtml

"Why do critically ill people require more vitamin C to maintain adequate levels of plasma vitamin C?"

-White Blood Cells, such as neutrophils and monocytes, actively take up ascorbic acid from plasma

-Decreased recycling of dehyroascorbic acid (DHAA) back to ascorbic acid (AA)

Restoring and maintaining healthy levels of ascorbic acid, selenocysteine, vitamin D, and NAD is critical in the battle against SARS-CoV-2. In treatment, as well as in research, it is important to remember that nutrients do not work optimally alone. Selenium, vitamin D, magnesium, and vitamin K2 are interdependent. Vitamin C, selenium, and vitamin E are interdependent. Niacin and NAD are also dependent on adequate intracellular selenoproteins and vitamin C levels.

They recommend bowel tolerance if sick(1000 mg every 15 to 30 min is a good start, back off if lose stool), this product is made for high dosing with a few minerals to stop stomach irritation

Never titrate to bowel-tolerance with calcium-ascorbate, as this product seems to contain, but does not fully disclose. Also don't use any supplement which doesn't disclose the exact amount of each ingredient.

My bowel-tolerance is at 50 g/d. From this product I would probably get a calcium overdose Best is always pure ascorbic-acid powder (without binders or fillers, as in tablets or capsules). If not tolerated second best would be sodium-ascorbate for titrating to bowel-tolerance.

Isolating in a room after you feel the symptoms of covid is almost pointless by that time you have most likely infected everyone already. Hence done before. And it kicks in at different times for everyone.

Nigella Sativa is part of the prevention and early treatment FLCCC protocol, the best I could do locally was a 7% extract.  But there is an online 20%, 100mg capsule on Amazon

https://www.amazon.c...s/dp/B0938CHKNK

From the Amazon comments, seems important to take with food..

Well the seeds and oil of Nigella Sativa is used as food. I don't see any reason to waste on 20% 100mg supplements, when it is readily available in tablespoons as food.

Most studies used black seed oil, but also the seed. I use both anyway.

My only covid I had during the Delta-wave. Would not even know that I had it without a PCR. Just an evenings sniffle. I would prefer covid anytime, compared to my rhinitis sniffles and much worse symptoms lasting for months.

I had COVID two months ago, presumably from omicron. It was only a mild infection, but now my ME/CFS fatigue is noticeably worse. Furthermore, my anhedonia is worse. This means I am experiencing less enthusiasm for things, more ennui, and find it harder to find things to do that interest me, because in anhedonia, the brain's pleasure and reward circuits do not light up as much as they used to.

Studies have shown that anhedonia is common in post-COVID people. After COVID, even those who never had anhedonia before may then experience it.

I am semi-housebound due to my ME/CFS, so do not get out much, but I always took good precautions against catching COVID, like wearing a proper respiratory mask when visiting shops. The reason I caught COVID is because a family member who was supposed to using lateral flow COVID tests before visiting my house decided to stop using these tests, but without informing anyone. So his family brought COVID to my house during a visit.

So thanks to this non-caring attitude, I now have worsened fatigue and anhedonia.

Best wishes for better health in your future Hip, & hope you're walking back on the sunny side of the street soon.

I've always enjoyed good health, but working in healthcare for 35 years, it was always distressing to see those with chronic conditions, & very rewarding when we could help these patients.

At 65 years of age, I no longer fear death, but do not look forward to the infirmities that lie ahead should I survive much past my mid 70s.  My father came down with squamous cell cancer (base of tongue) at age 68; never smoked and rarely drank.  Wound up getting leukemia from the radiation treatments and died at 74.  One of the reasons I joined this site, and others like it; and embrace alternative medicine.  Also why I advocate for doctors being allowed to treat COVID according to their best ability & judgement.

Horrifying to see main stream medicine ignoring age related iron accumulation, chronic vitamin deficiencies & mineral mal-absorption due to their PPI prescriptions.  SSRI meds handed out like candy to the young, and statins for seniors, whether cardiac disease runs in their family or not.  Now they're telling pre-pubescent children they may wish to take puberty blockers till they decide which gender they want to be when they grow up.  Madness!

The therapeutic nihilism regarding outpatient COVID treatment was icing on the cake.  I've grown quite ashamed at what has become of the once noblest of professions.  Glad I escaped when I did, with a bit of knowledge to help me navigate my own health.  GPs have become mindless automatons, who feed symptoms & routine tests into their computer and prescribe whatever the computer spits out.  The blind obedience of the young ones will cause great pain for many of them throughout their lives.  Censorship of progressive health sites will result in a lost generation of obese, depressed & chronically ill humanity.

I thank God every day I was born when I was, and got to see the forbidden fruits of alternative medicine before google snuffed all the good sites out.

Two hashtags to check out for long covid

#teamclots - https://twitter.com/...c=hashtag_click

#incelldx  - https://twitter.com/...ped_query&f=top  ... website - https://www.covidlon...rs.com/patients

I would take NAC + Neprinol + Quercetin(with bromelain) + Ivermectin for long covid type symptoms to try and clear the virus debris.   If no success, i would try the incelldx protocol

Serracor and Neprinol are 2 blood cleansers from different companies that specialize in enzymes.

If symptoms, I would finish a bottle of either for clots and viral clearance.  Basically they are digestive enzymes made to get past the stomach into the blood

The virus burns itself out after 8-10 days, but leaves behind all the viral waste which causes clotting/inflammation

Sorry to hear that Hip, keep us updated about your progress. What supplements are you taking to help get back to normal? Are you on intermittent low dose Rapamycin? I would suggest that because it always makes me feel good. And for depression I recommend eating an entire head of garlic if you digestive system can handle it. If I am feeling depressed it cures my depression and leaves me energized, though I will stink for days.

DOH!  Crap!

New variants appear to be escaping all previous immunity, whether natural or vaccine; and also appear to be returning to the lower respiratory tract (LUNGS)

And...  Repeat infections appear to generate substantial sequelae, also regardless of vaccination status or previous "natural immunity".

I'm betting early/outpatient treatment will be key to avoiding the possibility of a substantial decline in health this year, so keep your medicine chest well stocked with your favorite therapeutics.

Listening to the video, they also conclude that vaccination status, whether or not boosted, has no effect on additional damage from reinfections. There will be additional damage. Interestingly, they did not include unvaccinated people suffering multiple infections in their study.

I think the best prevention is  daily oral/nasal disinfection, similar to hand washing except you are killing the virus where the infection starts

When you brush, after exposure, or every 4 hours if symptoms

-xlear or iota-carrageenan(nasal, highest viral load)

https://www.business...st-New-Variants

-mouthwash or green tea(gargle)

https://nypost.com/2...-seconds-study/

-vitamin regimen(C, D, Zinc, selenium)

If symptoms

Hospitalization is b/c of clots and lung congestion

-NAC + decongestant + blood cleanser or natto

Pick a few antivirals

-Quercetin/bromelain / green tea + zinc sulfate or acetate

-curcumin(brand matters - LEF)

-black seed extract(60:1) extract on amazon

-licorice(take with potassium)

also

1% H202 nebulization if you have the equipment

FLCCC claiming prior infection is helpful against BA.5 , however they do not specify if you need prior Omicron or if Delta would work(probably previous Omicron needed)

A little heads up if you think you can send your child, friend or sweetheart down to the pharmacy for some Paxlovid when you pull a positive test:

You've got quite a few hoops to jump through.

A positive test?  Can you just bring your little rapid-test that turned positive at home in?  Or does it have to be confirmed, witnessed or done on site?

You must have recent labs for kidney and liver function (less than 12 months old) in a professional/legal format.

You must have documentation from your GP for all prescriptions you are on, from him/her and any/all specialists you are seeing.

Your pharmacist is not qualified to advise you about quitting or reducing dosage on any meds affected by Paxlovid.  Is your doc going to make himself available for a conference with your pharmacist?  Is he going to contact all your specialists to ask them about discontinuing or reducing dosage of the meds they have prescribed?  Do you expect your pharmacist to track all these down for you?  Probably ain't gonna happen.

Hope your doctors office is on the ball, and can put a package together for you pronto!

Its also conflicts with most medications.

At one point, there was heavy censorship, mockery, and blinding rage aimed at anyone who mentioned "getting healthy" and losing weight as an effective strategy to lessen the effects of COVID. The data has been clear from the beginning that losing weight would help. The social media hatred and censorship(Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc...)  probably led to a lot more suffering and death.
