In those green-pastured mountains
of Fotta-fa-Zee
Everyone feels fine
at a hundred and three
‘cause the air they breathe
is potassium-free
and because they chew nuts
from the Tutt-a-Tutt Tree.
This gives Strength to their teeth,
it gives length to theit hair,
and they live without doctors,
with nary a care.*

There are many great, popular skeptics of immortality, most notably Michael Shermer and Stephen Cave. Are they right that immortality is impossible?
I too am a skeptic and it is possible for other skeptics to be wrong believe it or not. ( temporary note : more to come reading Stephen Caves book to try to extract an answer from it if I can. Also Michael Shermers book on utopias and immortality which he thinks are impossible, once again a popular skeptic is very wrong! And I can prove that these very popular skeptics, mostly Michael Shermer, he has his own magazine and is the world most popular Skeptic, but can the world’s most popular skeptic and near-genius be wrong? You damn right he can be. He has been proven wrong by a small majority like me, but he has been wrong on several occasions nevertheless.)
Can a person be immortal?
Cryonics holds out the hope that the dead can be revived in the future, following sufficient medical advancements. While, as shown with creatures such as hydra and Planarian worms, it is indeed possible for a creature to be biologically immortal, it is not known, and therefore possible to be immortal, for humans in the near-future.* ( note: I changed the wording a bit to this article to sound more pro-immortality but it’s still the same wiki article and I think still holds true)
*Immortality Wikipedia
Note:Scientists expect the universe will end, which puts an immediate dampener on a mystery about the potential for human immortality. Some scientists have speculated about surviving the death of the universe, as science journalist John Horgan reported for Scientific American, but it's “unlikely” that any humans alive today will experience the universe's demise anyway. *livescience.com

What is Longevity Escape Velocity?
In short, the Longevity Escape Velocity is a situation in which the life expectancy in years increases faster than your age.
For example according to the United Nations the global average life expectancy now is 72.6 years,
https://www.google.c...ife expectancy
Lets say, that you are 30 years old now, and thus you are expected to live 42,6 years more. But if the life expectancy the next year becomes 74,6 years, you are now expected to live 44,6 years. Thus each year you become older, your expectancy to live longer increases.
That is simply a good wish. The life expectancy is really increasing, but the rate that it increases is too slow to be achieved the longevity escape velocity.

Why are people so strongly opinionated on the subject of immortality?
People have been dying with certainity for millenia. That is why the social psychology of all countries arround the world has been trained for many generations, that people can not be immortal. The minds of the current generations of people have been brainwashed from the last two or three generations, with the postulates, that you will certainly die, there is nothing you can do about that, you shouldn't waste valuable time and resources for that, because immortality is impossible. That is why the new generations of people can not get out of the box, and realize, that the absence of immortality is simply due to insufficient development of the science and the medical practice. That statement, that the human is mortal has evaded the life so strongly, that the majority of the aspects of life have been already modified so, that to fit perfectly that concept. That is why the people currently are so stongly opinionated for the subject of immortality and as a default deny everything, that says them the opposite. If someone says them, that immortality may be possible, they will look at him/her as an idiot or deluded mind.
Would immortality bring us overpopulation?
The rise of the population is not only due to the decline of the deaths, but also the rise of the new births. In a society in which all become immortal, and no new children get born, there will be no overpopulation and the resources will be enough or everyone. The absence of new children after the human become immortal is temporary until new lands and resources get adopted, for example when other planets get populated.
Would immortality make me human, or would I become something else altogether?
That depends on what way of immortality people are streaming to. There are ways, that may make the human immortal without the human to become something else. One such way is the development of transplantable tissues and organs from stem cells. When that becomes true the damaged, worn out and aged tissues and organs would be replaced. That way preserves the biological human being as a biological human being.
You seem to be positive on your outlook on immortality, why?
I understand, that the development of the science and the medicine can make the human immortal. That is why I plan to do what I can in order to make immortality happen during my life, if not I hope it to become a reality for my children or grandchildren.
Will life insurance cover Cryonics, and how does that work?

I’m religious ( Christian , Muslim, Mormon, etc. ) and doesn’t immortality go against my religion?
Quick answer that I wil have to fill out. I’m going to fill out all my questions with a short answer, and you may to, and then will can fill it out with more research. I’m the one going to try the most research, but seivcho is doing good, smart man you are.
My short and answer is :
Ironically all major religions provide people with a way not to fear death, because they provide some sort of afterlife that lasts forever, so therefore why fear death. It’s been told that Jesus and other religious figures are seen as ‘father’ figures, so maybe it’s time to grow up and figure your own life out, decide what you what to do in your life by trying many things, I suggest reading Origin of Species, it will blow your mind and most likely change it, unless you miss the point. Sorry to be blunt, but for humans to progress we have to be truthful to advance as a species.

How long is mind uploading away?
[+Maybe include a philosophical question about "immortality".
True physical "immortality" is impossible, just as it is impossible to count to infinity. Immortality is a concept (like infinity). It is a concept worth contemplating and exploring as a limit, while lifespans increase. Once aging is a treatable condition and if mind uploading becomes a reality, then people will be "functionally" immortal, but not truly immortal.]

What scientific teams are now working on making immortality a reality?
And it depends on what way of immortality you believe in. These are all scentific teams, that work with human stem cells, the teams that try to develope a cancer treatments. There is a company, that is trying to make gene therapies, that may make people immortal, such as BioViva.

Aubade
BY PHILIP LARKIN
I work all day, and get half-drunk at night.
Waking at four to soundless dark, I stare.
In time the curtain-edges will grow light.
Till then I see what’s really always there:
Unresting death, a whole day nearer now,
Making all thought impossible but how
And where and when I shall myself die.
Arid interrogation: yet the dread
Of dying, and being dead,
Flashes afresh to hold and horrify.
The mind blanks at the glare. Not in remorse
—The good not done, the love not given, time
Torn off unused—nor wretchedly because
An only life can take so long to climb
Clear of its wrong beginnings, and may never;
But at the total emptiness for ever,
The sure extinction that we travel to
And shall be lost in always. Not to be here,
Not to be anywhere,
And soon; nothing more terrible, nothing more true.
This is a special way of being afraid
No trick dispels. Religion used to try,
That vast moth-eaten musical brocade
Created to pretend we never die,
And specious stuff that says No rational being
Can fear a thing it will not feel, not seeing
That this is what we fear—no sight, no sound,
No touch or taste or smell, nothing to think with,
Nothing to love or link with,
The anaesthetic from which none come round.
And so it stays just on the edge of vision,
A small unfocused blur, a standing chill
That slows each impulse down to indecision.
Most things may never happen: this one will,
And realisation of it rages out
In furnace-fear when we are caught without
People or drink. Courage is no good:
It means not scaring others. Being brave
Lets no one off the grave.
Death is no different whined at than withstood.
Slowly light strengthens, and the room takes shape.
It stands plain as a wardrobe, what we know,
Have always known, know that we can’t escape,
Yet can’t accept. One side will have to go.
Meanwhile telephones crouch, getting ready to ring
In locked-up offices, and all the uncaring
Intricate rented world begins to rouse.
The sky is white as clay, with no sun.
Work has to be done.
Postmen like doctors go from house to house.
