I have commented in your video as well.  I have studied this a lot (middle insomnia).  There are lots of things about this, but perhaps the most useful is looking for a Cortisol (Awakening) response.   When that happens getting back to sleep is a lot harder.  I spot mine by looking at the heart rate.  A rapid peak means no cortisol.  A jump in HR which stays elevated means the CAR.  Getting over the CAR is much harder.
