Apparently:

resveratrol doesn't activate SIRT1 and it wouldn't matter if it did because SIRT1 doesn't have anti-aging properties.  SIRT6 does.  So, my question is, does resveratrol help one in any way at all?  For example, it's a component of red wine and red wine is supposed to tackle cholesterol/heart issues.  Is it good for one at all?

You are correct and it is sirt6 and not sirt1. Resveratrol has poor bioavailability anyway.
