I've been buying Epitalon from SuperSmart for a little while now, but then I noticed that they were also selling Spermidine, but the dose was only a tiny fraction of the recommended 1g daily. This of course led me to think that the Epitalon dose of 3 mg might be subtherapeutic as well.

What is the recommended dose of Epitalon and where should I get it?

I just bought some TAM818. It's about $3.00/tablet lol. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

TAM818 isn't what I thought it was, so I just bought a bottle of TA-65. That's what I'll be taking from now on.

In answer to your main question, generally people inject 10mg epitalon for around 10 days in a row, although this is higher than the experiments in Russia. The reference is here, PMID: 14523363 but I can't find the dose right now; I believe it was 5mg every other day for 10days? There is some information here as well, from page 73 onwards.

https://khavinson.in...s-genome-ageing

Going back to the original in vitro study, DOI: 10.1023/a:1025493705728, the concentration used was 0.05ug/ml for 4 days and this resulted in comparable telomerase protein in fibroblasts to that found in HELA cancer cells (generally the benchmark for the amount you need to stop telomere shortening; I think it is lower than this). You'd have to work out the clearance rate to see how 0.05ug/ml compared to epitalon injections, but at 10mg per subcutaneous injection you'll be much, much higher than 0.05ug/ml initially. So perhaps the dose should be lower?

Of course the downside of using epitalon is that all the research is Russian. Many individuals (myself included) have increased their telomere lengths using it, however.

TA-65 has more research behind it, both in vitro for activating telomerase (a little) and in vivo for increasing telomere length (a little).

TAM818 is claimed to be a much more powerful telomerase activator than TA-65, but there is no published data on it, only the word of Bill Andrews (who I happen to trust). Again like epitalon, TAM818 has been used to increase many peoples telomere length (see the defytime website).

The price of TA-65 and TAM818 are similar.

Epitalon is cheaper, assuming you cycle it.  But there are counter claims it doesn't activate telomerase at all, but acts via melatonin as an anti-oxidant.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this! Seriously! Regarding TAM818, which product are you referring to? Do you have a link to the supplement by chance? I bought their telomere support supplement, but it didn't actually have any TAM818 in it. They also advertised a serum, but I believe it's just a topical agent and not something you ingest. Also, do you have any recommendations for buying Epitalon? Where do you get it from?

I mean the capsules, here

Yes it is amazingly pricey, similar to TA-65

I know there is also a topical product, using the same substance here

For epitalon, if you are okay with subcutaneous injections, try somewhere like here . I am in the UK, but no doubt there is more choice if you are US based. Bear in mind you'll need insulin needles and bacteriostatic water for injecting.

If you don't want to try injecting, perhaps a nasal spray will be efficacious, like from here

There are other putative telomerase activators like gotu kola (Centella asiatica) if you want your telomeres looked after without breaking the bank; some evidence here of effectiveness

Dude, you are seriously so helpful!! Thank you for your detailed response. I seriously appreciate it. And I'm actually already using gotu kola as part of my telomere regimen, and I'm pretty sure that was inspired by one of your posts. I'm currently taking gotu cola, astragalus extract, and TA-65 for telomeres.

I'm 32 and, on average, people estimate my age as 7 years younger, so I think I'm on the right path. I'm also doing intermittent fasting along with periodic longer fasts to induce autophagy + all the other supplements I take. I'm not interested in a lukewarm approach ha ha.

I have the same philosophy. Here's hoping you can stop the attack of middle age that comes around 40.
