Hello to all,

I'll try to keep it short and sweet.

The antibiotic class fluoroquinolone causes severe persistent side effects in some people, 90% of which are attributed to the fact that it destroys mitochondria and leaves a poor mitochondrial pool.

The body can't keep up to repair those mitochondria throw mitophagy and the symptoms get worse by the month.

So I am looking for potent but still gentle mitophgay triggers.

NAD+ precursors like NMN,NR are known to me but the only problem is that they create energy in the cell and thus also to the bad mitochondria which then create too much ROS and Oxi-stress and thus destroy the tissue around it.

Therefore I am looking for a mitophagy trigger that activates Pink1/Parkin or other mitophagy pathways that I am not aware of without creating energy in the cell.

I myself have found the 2 supplements, Spermidin and Honokiol.

Just a lil paper to Honokiol : https://www.ncbi.nlm...les/PMC4441304/

But I wanted to ask you guys again as experts for your opinion.

It would be really nice to help us out here.

There are so many people affected by this shitty side effects and nobody actually cares.

Molecular hydrogen might be worth a try. If you decide to test it, I would recommend tablet form, as it is the most cost effective method guaranteeing a high concentration of H2. Most research has been done in a dosage range of 1-3 mg, but higher dosages have been used (up to 15mg or so) with benefits and no documented toxicity.  1 tablet dissolved in 500ml water will likely produce around 3mg H2 depending on the brand. I have no idea if this will help your specific case but might be worth considering.

This is way beyond me. But have you already considered or tried and discarded simpler possibilities?

What about blueberries and PQQ to generate new mitochondria?
