Hello,
I'm 72 years old woman. I had a kidney surgery lately (partial nephrectomy) where they removed one 4cm cancerous tumor in one of my kidneys. there are no other tumors. During the last year I tried many supplements to avoid the surgery but the tumor kept growing (I blame covid vaccine because I noticed the significant growth happened after taking it, I did MRI every 2-3 months).
My doctors says I'm fine now and my next visit is scheduled after 6 months. They couldn't answer me whether I can take supplements or not. But at least they did not warn me against them. Last blood test I took everything was within normal range.
I noticed, even though it has been weeks since the surgery, I lost my appetite and I never feel hungry. I don't think it is because of psychological reasons. what could be the reason for that? My doctor says it could be from the anesthesia from the surgery.
I was on antibiotics for 10 days after leaving the hospital (1g Ciprofloxacin per day, 500mg every 12hr) I don't know what kind of medications I took while I was hospitalized, but I stayed there for 5 days.
I have three questions:
- Which supplements should I avoid since I have 1 + 0.75 kidneys instead of two complete kidneys?
- Which supplements should I take to help maintain the health of what remains of my kidneys?
- Which supplements should I take to prevent the cancer from coming back?
Thanks,
