I've done some calculations on data from epidemiological studies on food type effects on all-cause mortality and calculated the impacts on years of lifespan for a 40-year old man based on the number of daily servings per food:
My takeaways were:
- Nuts, small amount, but every day
- More whole grains and legumes. Can't get enough.
- Veggies, fruits. Sure, but don't go out of my way for them
- Eggs and red meat -- only if really good
- Processed meat -- just nope
My blog post on it is here: https://cloomis.com/...od-for-health/
